Weekly Reflection

On Tuesday we had J-rock, we headed of to j-rock at about 8:30am and we got home from j-rock at 10:45pm it was a long day but in the end it was a really fun experience.
OnWednesday we had a normal school day but I was really tired from tuesday night.
On Thursday we Did impact we went down to the collage and made a metal tray it was really hard to do and I haven't finished mine yet.
On Friday we had another normal day but it isn't that normal tomorrows the weekend yah. 

term 2 week 1 

On Monday was a normal school day nothing happened we had to do cross-country training . 

On Tuesday we a normal day I did all of my MDR and we had ultimate Frisbee. 

On Wednesday we did art we had to take a picture of ourselves and sketch it on some paper we a going to lino print it.  

On Thursday we went to tech at the collage and added some finishing touches to our metal tray. 

today we done some more of our art and we talked about the made awards.

J-rock 2013

On Tuesday the 25th of june 2013 we headed of to J-rock and performed for over 100,00 people. I took part in j-rock because iI thought it would be a Great experience and it was for our ngatea primary school J-rock theme was technology and how it was back in the days. Like Telephone's, Cars, Internet  Television and Music. I was in the Television scene It was about a sleepover and how bored we were until we had an idea to watch TV and dance to the Music. It was scary thinking about it but when we were doing it I loved it I hope I do stage challenge when I get into collage and have another great experience.

For our impact we have to do a drawing of our box on a thing called sketch up. This is mine it has taking a while to get it right but I am happy with it. 

Disco

Last night the 20-06-2013 a Ngatea School Disco was held at our events centre we played lots of games It was a really cool night. There is a tuck shop where we could by Lollies, Drinks, Chips etc. There where some really good song choices. lots of people danced a lot. I really enjoyed it. I cant wait to go back in term 4. 

Waka Ama

This week our classes had a little road trip to Huntly collage it was a really cool day we split into 4 groups our first activty was army trainning soo we had to march and do a drill that they showed us. After that we did a waiata the song was quite easy. Then we went to the lake to go in the waka that was my Favourite thing that day we had lots of fun doing that. a lastly we went on the mountain bikes it an was an easy track.

p.e and music groups this term

This term we are doing bands for music and in my band is Me, Sally, Hollie, Renee and Rebecca we are singing the song 22 by Taylor Swift I am singing and is everyone else, except sally she is playing the piano.The scary thing is that we have to sing in front of the rest of the music groups.

Art

This term we are doing zentangles we are zentangling something that mean something to us. And I am doing a netball teams logo it has been a little difficult for me but i'm trying my best. I love art and it is always so fun to do so I would love to more of it. 

Upstart Magazine

This term I wanted to publish my writing in the upstart magazine and and they are publishing it in the june/july issue so i am really looking forward to it. this is the piece of writing. 

My Best friend Aimee 

My best friend Aimee is a funny and creative friend she always knows  how to make you feel good. When

you ever need a hand she right there next to you. Even though I have lots of other friend she still is my

favourite.  She’s like another sister to me.  Whenever I want to do something crazy she’s always has an honest opinion . Whenever I say something funny she laughs really loudly she is super smart a she runs as fast as a cheetah.  The way I feel about her when she around is happy and cheerful.

       

 Aimee is  a superstar netball player like laura langman. She is great cook makes the best tomato soup and pear and mixed berry crumble.  She is a circle of sunshine and as bright as a rainbow. She likes to listening to lady gaga and groove to her dance moves,  her favourite colours are purple,green and blue.  She

Has silky golden hair her eyes shimmering in the light she always smiles at everyone she has great fashion sense.  Aimee is my best friend ever. She always smells like bright red roses swaying in the wind

she is a really cool friend. When my sister or brother she just says to stay a way from them before something bad happens. Aimee is not just a great supporter she always makes everybody smile.

impact- wood work

On Thursday we went to the collage to make our impact project and we went to mr davis wood work shop to make a handle we had to measure out some lines. And after we had done that we had to drill to holes in the wood that was scary. Next we had to use a big machine to saw our wood to get the shape that we wanted that was really scary. Then we had to use a little hand saw thing that was difficult. And then we were done now there is metal work with Mr Chivers to make a metal tray.

j-rock

This year our school is participating in the 2013 j-rock competition. a lot of kid auditioned and not all of them got in but I did. and i am part of the television people and we have to dance to the tune of the Simpsons theme song. we have to bring costumes m costume is PJ's we are having a sleepover for the tv peoples sense.
