Science Project.....

Today Anna, Rebecca and I are all doing a science investigation together.
We have been planning for a while now and we are finally doing it today.
Our science project is how to make an egg bounce,
you have 2 eggs one raw and the other boiled since there are 3 of us we are doing
another egg 1/2 cooked, you get a jar and fill it up with white vinegar and place the egg
put them anywhere hot or cold, get them in the jar for, Open up the Jar after 28hrs, bounce the raw egg, it bounces then from higher up, It CRACKS!!!!, Then try the boiled egg it doesn't crack.

Lets see what happens to ours....:)??????

Writing

This week for writing we are doing biography on our favorite leader I choose Catherine Latu and this what I have done so far.
Born on the 25 October 1986, and lived in Auckland, Waitakere. Catherine Latu the 27 year old netball player has done it again, Catherine Latu has been signed up for the Northern Mystics and the one and only Silver Ferns, her favourite role model-Irene Van Dyk.
she had a dream of being a silver fern.

once she got into the Northern mystics netball team late in her teen years she decided to work hard to get her moment. She has played for the Northern Mystics from 2008 through to 2014 (6 years in total) and from 2011 through to 2014 as well as 2 fast five seasons (won both) she has played a total of 81 test caps.

Catherine Latu grew up with 9 other siblings as well as her mum(Mary-Anne Latu) and her dad (David Latu) One day she decided to leave home and start her netball career.

The Catherine you know may come across as fierce and aggressive in her netball but she is not trust me I know, earlier this year I met her at an ANZ championship Match Mystics vs Magic, she asked Anna and I where we live and what we got up-to in the summer, we actually didn’t know what to say.

Impact 2014

Today Mr  Quinn came to our class to talk to us about what we have done since he was last here,
so far we have decided what length and height we want our tree house and what we want to put in our tree house  we have also designed a little plan.
Our next steps are to think about our house roles.

NYLD 2014

NYLD
Thursday the 29th of april I wake up get ready and go all set for the big day, we arrive at Vodafone events centre,  Auckland at approximately 9.10,
and get seated, after a long wait the hosts of the day Gemma Knight and Dave Atkinson,
The day was all about 3D Which the three D’s stand for Dream, dare and develop.

The 1st Speaker Annette Fale
She talked about one little girl who had a feeling a tsunami was arriving she ran up and down the beach telling everybody to get out quickly a lot of people died when the tsunami hit but if that little girl didn't warn everybody a lot more people would have died that day.

The 2nd speaker was Jamie Fitzgerald,
Jamie one day had a dream and he chased and chased it and finally succeeded his dream he said to himself are we going to put the anchor out our keep rowing, after all this time why would he stop so he decided to keep rowing that whole time he rowed he had lost 32 kg that is a record achievement so just remember you either put out the anchor or keep going

3rd speaker was Cam Calkoen
He was my favourite speaker of the day he had a great background story about his childhood, he was born with a disability and he never gave up even no he knew he was different, but didn’t even care he chased his dream and achieved it and I reckon that is a great achievement.

4th speaker Frances valentine
She talked mainly about the future and technology, what I learnt from the day is that the future is important so look after it.

5th speaker was Laura Langman
an account and a famous netball player she takes on a lot but still
achieve her everyday goals she has a little preparation thing before the game she has only ate the same cereal/breakfast for a long time, she was a great inspiration for the day shes cool, calm and collected and serious at the same time she was a great leader.

The Laughing samoans,
what a laugh the laughing samoans were hilarious that cracked
everybody up with there play.

The Final Speaker- Charlie Laumatia
He was a really great person what I learnt from him was if you have a best friend will you choose to keep them or leave them do you think the will
you become friends with you or turn your back on them.

overall the day was a great day and I learnt a lot about leadership.
