Weekly Reflection

Term 4
Reflection 1 
This week was the first week back, for my digitally driven milestone Jordyn,Renee,Helena,Rachael and I are doing it on robin Williams we are almost done, 
this week my Impact group are entering a competition for Tree-houses we have made this our top priority and hope we win the prize of 2,500 dollars. 
Next week is a busy week we have Calf club, Choir and Year 8 testing. 
I am also working on the year 8 dinner with Rachel & Renee we are doing the presentations,
I am also working on my year 8 video with Samantha we are doing Air-hostesses. 




Term 3
Reflection 10 
This week is the last week of term 3 
I have been working really hard on my subjects this term for example my maths has improved really well and I am proud of myself for achieving my goals. 
today is pet day I'm bringing my cat Toby then I will be going home after.

This week for 
we finished sanding our wood for our tree-house this week and we are up to rounding the edges and cutting the holes. 
for our ladder hopefully next week we will be able 
to paint I have decided to paint my step pink, Anna and Rebecca are painting there's green and Caitlin is painting her's yellow.

Reflection 8 
this week I enjoyed our AWS page it was quite challenging but I enjoyed it, 
I really liked working on milestones as well this week it has really helped me with learning new things. 
I also felt that I writing task was difficult but fun.

This week we finally made it to tech unfortunately Mr Davies was to busy to work with us so we only got his attention in the last 5 mins so we did nothing for 2 hrs 
also today we had fathers day I dressed up as my dad and came 2nd in the senior competition it was really fun but sadly my dad couldn't make it so I hung out with Anna and her dad.

This week I enjoyed impact we had to make a space 2-2 meters long and wide so we could see how many furniture we could fit in our tree-house and still make it comfortable for people to sit in we manged to fit 5-7 people in. 
The hard part of this week was probably my writing task.

This week I have 
Worked really hard on my made awards I have been taking a lot of pictures of nature, me and Anna have been working on our Bamboo tree house for Mr Quinn to see. And we have been working really hard on the marimbas.

This week we had cross-country sadly I couldn't do it because I was sick but I got to watch my best friend Anna, she smashed it and came 1st :) Well done Anna she tried really hard In training and did her best.

This week I enjoyed reading our book the phoenix files book the where really interesting chapters I found cross-country training quite hard this week but looking forward to cross-country next week. For impact Mr Quinn  came this week to look at our prototype. 

Term 3 
Reflection 2 
This week I spent a lot of time trying to perfect 
my maths milestone and I finished it today just before 
the weekend, I am trying really hard to complete all my milestones, we started running the domain twice for 
cross-country training and it was hard, I have finished my scratch that I started in week 1, for our made awards we are getting so close to start filming we just need to get everybody to come to our practices for there lines, we started a new book and I really like it, It is called Phoenix Files.



Term 3 
Reflection 1 
This week is the first week back to NPS,
it is still hard to fit into work after a long 2 week holiday, 
I started of with cross country running but left early to go to the dentist, then on Tuesday I't was during my Writing meeting when I got called out to the dentist and next minute I know she was getting pliers in my teeth, I got to of my teeth ripped out it really hurt. 
I't was a interesting week.

Reflection 9 (Last day of term)
Today is Grandparents day we held a big assembly and 
a lot of grandparents came and I had 
to do liaison with 
Charlotte, Finley and Jack it
was really busy so it was really hard.:)





Term 2 
Reflection 8 
This week for our Digital Design Charlotte, Caitlin and I are 
Going to go and visit the FVC (vet clinic),  we are filming them in action and they will tell us about how they became a vet and why. Also today Rebecca, Anna and I are looking at our science experiment that we did the other day, we are looking at our eggs and seeing if they bounce.  



Term 2 
Reflection 7
 This week for writing we are doing biography on our favorite leader I choose Catherine Latu she is 
a great role model for my shooting  in netball I have almost finished.
Mr Quinn came in again yesterday to talk about what we have done since he was last here. We also had an unconference day, we mostly learned about the future and what we are going to do in the future. 



Term 2 
Reflection 6 
This week we have videoed the digital design and now
it's up-to editing it, Samantha and I had our call back for 
Aimee, Sally, Olivia and Oscar story telling about the book thief for the mayors wife we both 
tryed our hardest sadly she won by 1 point the score out of 30 was 25-26 but I can just put it behind me, For writing this week we had to wright about what we want to be when we are older and what are we going to be like as it.   


Term 2

This week for music we started recording our singing 
for our music video the song we are singing is wings by little mix, we have also started practicing dance moves, It is getting 
exciting for us, this week I have been choosing to be in Anna and Rebecca's Digital design video about leadership I am the bully we have been practicing and next week we are videoing. 






Term 2

This week on Thursday we had NYLD(National young leaders day) We had a great experience and the speakers told us 
how to become a good leader all you have to do  is believing that you can do the impossible.
for music this week we are doing bands and i'm in the spice girls group I am Posh spice, Olivia is scary spice, Julie is Baby spice and Sheree is sporty spice, Me, Julie and Sheree are Dancing while Olivia is singing. I can't wait to see the finishing product, we are also going to make a music Video and put it in the made awards. 





Term 2

this week we started Badminton at school
we had to learn how to do a rely

are ready to work on the Planning etc 
We are enjoying doing this 
and can't wait till the big day arrives,
for impact this week we have done a big lot of planning 
On our treehouse

to Rebecca and Caitlin, we Made Coconut and 
Mango Ice-cream with a vege stir fry Our stir fry Apparently was the best dish of the day. :) happy easter

This week we made rice paper rolls they we're

I learnt To not put the rice paper in the hot water to long 
otherwise It goes to soggy
It was a great experience I am

This week on Thursday we made Vegetable soup
And Soda bread It was yummy We pulled out all of our Radishes and Had a survey 11 people Hated them and 7 liked them 
On Friday we we're On Liaison duty Oscar, Xavier and I had to Welcome the teacher aides to our school,
It was really fun. :)

Omelets ,I brought Bacon, onion, Capsicum an rosemary

This week On Monday we Had St Patricks day
We all could come to school wearing green things 
There we're All sorts of Games And Activities And If you won you 
get a chocolate coin to eat :).
On thursday for Impact we Made homemade Pasta Mmmmm
It was delicious with A cream, broccoli sauce.
It was so hard to eat I didn't it all of mine it was to filling. :)
Today I babysat A little boy called Noah, Because it was open day At school And his parents we Getting showing around the school. So me and hannah got 
Chosen to babysit.

And every day we have to water our garden We
Made a really nice salad
And today I got a Leadership role as and
House leader for Orewa and my partner is connor.
 I cant what till we go to swimming sports and cheer on our team.

This week we started Swimming 
We have time-slots and you have to have 3 slots I swim on 
Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday
We start of with lengths and then we get a free swim.
Me and Rebecca finished our impact presentation and next week 
We present it to our stakeholders Brian and Julie, 
today we played Prisnoer again we lost but oh well .





Term 4

This week on Monday 
we had NPS cross-country the events were 
800m, 200m, 80m, high jump, shot-put and long jump 
unfortunately I didn't make it in for anything 
On Wednesday I was sick at home and yesterday was tech 
Me and Rebecca fixed our handle
today was class photos and me and my friend Sally were the runners 
so we collected people for there photos.

This week 
We went to technology twice, me and Rebecca Made 
sowed the fabric for our handle 
And tied the fluff to it Today we Made our base 
For the bottom of our box 
And we screw it together I think we did pretty well and we only have 1 more week 
left to go.

In Ngatea Primary Pet day I bran my cat Toby, 
2 years ago he came 1st last yeah 2nd ,this year he got 1st again 
I got a red ribbon, and tied for 1st place 
I got 1st for longest whiskers, 1st for the nosiest and then a 2nd for most 
content.

played netball we won the senior round, Me and Rebecca finished

Today we have completed our Made Awards.
I need to Work on My Questions In my AWS and MDR.

today we had Daffodil day at school
We Made stretchers
out of Newspaper, tape and string.
Then we had to put a box of
heavy stuff then had to be timed around a
Obstacle course We got disqualified.
Then we had to Make A tower, Out of straws, tape and string it
has to be tall and wide to win We WON.

This

week 

we had Camp we went to Taupo It was Really fun 

First we went on a big Walk to Huka falls it was Quite long 

But we made it anyway.

We went for a Mountain Bike ride through the bush 

then headed of to Action world there where 

lots of fun activities I was in the group with my 2 friends Trinity and

sally Me and trinity were the scared ones then 

we headed of to Water rafting

I jumped out of the car running to put on my life Jacket. and Listen closely to the instructors we get put into groups of 8 or 9. We race to our rafts I feel the yuck slime easing down my feet. Yay we are in the raft and I barely got wet. Now we started of with paddling backwards and forwards to get us into a rhythm. After going around and around in circles

we headed off down the river water was wishing down my life jacket. As we glided down the river we caught up to the rest of the groups oh no they pick up their paddles and start chucking water at us.  The fight is on Mrs Taaffe is now up on her feet giving them a piece of her mind now I really wet. why do the boys always need a challenge and they always carry on

until they win.

we all stopped at the bungee jump place we got to see one man bunchy it looked really scary so we all told him to jump on the count of three and he did so after that we carried on going with the current. Next stop is hot springs the instructor said so we stopped and had a little play around in the water it was the most hottest water ever like turning up the bath water as high as it can go so i dived into the freezing cold water to give me a cool of.

now its time to head off down the sparkling water. then we get told to stop again we have no idea why there the other

groups are for some weird reason we all joined up we didn't no what we were doing I thought so I need 3 volunteers the instructor said. 1,2,3  great now what we are going to do is. run  from one end to the other really I'm glad I'm not one of them thinking to myself. at least no one fell  in time to go no more stops now so we headed of and i really enjoyed the trip and i hope i get to do that journey again.

then headed of to Ac baths there we

went rock climbing Now that was scary

I couldn't even go higher than the first mark.

Then to Orientation we had a little

bit of a treasure hunt e came like

second to last.

then Back home to the resort we hung out there for the night

we did skits and my group were so funny we lost

we Didn't no what to do.

We had dinner

then the

next day we were

heading of to the dam opening and we went

the wrong way so we got lost and then stopped

for Ice-cream and headed to the lake for a swim It was cold and deep

but My a some friends went quite far.

Then stayed there and had dinner and left.

This week we Had Hauraki swimming sports,

I made It in the Bad thing was

that I was really sick on Saturday and Sunday

so I didn't do very well.

At least I made it In I don't really want to talk about though.

I Made it in for Backstroke and Breaststroke.

It was a long and hot day and

are doing sowing, I am sowing a Pincushion its 

going really well for my second week.
